2026 Youth Girls Tryouts

Thank you for your interest in joining the 2026 Toronto Phoenix Youth summer volleyball program!

The club is looking to roster three youth teams who will practice twice a week indoors and compete against other summer youth programs at various youth tournaments as well as sending at least one team to compete in the 81st North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament hosted by Montreal this September. 

All players MUST register for tryouts in order to participate. In the event of any changes to tryout dates or locations, please check back on our website for the most up-to-date information. We will do our best at communicating any changes via e-mail.

Once you receive an email confirming your tryout date, please e-transfer your tryout fee to stephenhangolf@gmail.com to secure your spot.

Confirmation will be sent once the payment has been received, if payment can only be made by cash, please comment in the notes section in the form.

2026 Men’s/Women’s Tryouts

Toronto Phoenix invites you to attend tryouts for our Men’s and Women’s teams for the summer of 2026! All players MUST register for tryouts in order to participate. In the event of any changes to tryout dates or locations, please check back on our website for the most up-to-date information. We will do our best at communicating any changes via e-mail.

If you have indicated your availability for multiple days, we will slot you into a specific tryout date. A mass e-mail will be sent out once we have finalized the list of participants for each tryout. Also, you do not need to show up to additional tryouts unless otherwise notified.

All tryouts will be capped to a max. number of participants. In the event that there are no spots left, we will try to open up a waitlist. No spectators allowed.

Youth tryout information will be available on our website once it has been finalized.

Update (4/1): Emails have been sent out to participants for both tryouts. If you have not yet received an e-mail, you are currently on the waitlist and we will let you know if any spots open up.

Update (4/7): Emails have been sent out to all waitlisted participants to let them know of their current status. In the event that people drop out, we will let you know.

Update (4/18): Emails have been sent out to all the participants from the first tryout to let them know their status.

Directions: Entrance to the school is on the North side (Door 3). Enter the school and go right. Once you hit the cafeteria, turn left, walk a bit, and then go through the first set of double doors. The gym will be on the left immediately beyond the double doors. Walk down the hallway to enter the gym.

Season Opener Tourney!

Kick off the season with the Toronto Phoenix 9-Man Season Opener Tournament on Saturday, May 9, 2026! Help your team gel together and work on their chemistry or get back in form with this quick tournament! 

Men’s

Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time: 4PM to 11PM
Location: Woodbridge Sports Dome

Cost: 

  • $275 Early Bird (Before April 1st) 
  • $300 Regular Price

Format: 

  • 2 pools of 4 teams (max. 8 teams total per gender). Each team will play 3 pool play matches of 2 straight sets.
  • All pool play matches are timed.
  • Top 2 teams in each pool will advance to Tier 1 playoffs and remaining teams will play Tier 2 playoffs. 
  • All playoff matches are best 2 out of 3 sets. 
  • We reserve the right to reduce the length of the matches depending on time constraints.

  • Tier 1 Winner – $500 (if we have 8 teams)

  • 2 pools of 4 teams (max. 8 teams total). Each team will play 3 pool play matches of 2 straight sets.
