Women’s Registration
Registration is here and the page will automatically go live on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 PM ET. If you visit the page before then, the page will not be found.
NACIVT ethnicity rules are strongly encouraged but will not be strictly enforced (ie: we will not be asking players to prove their ethnicity). This tournament is meant as a tune up before NACIVT and we ask that teams play with the spirit of the game in mind. Failure to comply may result in the team not being accepted into the tournament, loss of security deposit, and/or potential bans in future tournaments.
Schedule
- TBD
Notes
- The first match should start at 8:15 AM. No captains’ meeting is planned at this time. The match should BEGIN at 8:15 AM (ie: warmups should have already happened prior to this point).
- All warmups are 3 minutes per team (6 minutes total). Each pool play match will be timed. A whistle from the command centre will signal the end of each round of matches. If games are ongoing, continue to play the point. If the game is tied, play one final point.
- If matches finish early, teams are welcome to use the empty court to warmup. Please ensure that volleyballs do not interfere with any ongoing matches.
- All pool play matches start at 0-0 and are 2 sets each to 21 with a cap at 23. One timeout allowed per set.
- After pool play, teams will be ranked within their pool. 1st and 2nd place teams from each pool will move onto Gold playoffs. 3rd and 4th place teams from each pool will move onto Silver playoffs. 5th place team will be knocked out after pool play.
- We reserve the right to adjust the first round of playoff matches so that teams from the same pool don’t play each other.
- All playoff matches will start at 0-0 and are best 2 out of 3 sets. First two sets to 25, 3rd set to 15. No cap and no time limit. 2 timeouts per set.
- If your team loses your playoff match, you are scheduled to ref the next game.
- Teams should make sure to clean up their area at the end of the tournament. Failure to clean up will result in the loss of the security deposit.
- Stepping onto another court is strictly prohibited and will result in loss of point. It does not matter if the ball is contacted prior to stepping on another court.
- Basketball nets are out of play. Unfortunately, Woodbridge Sports Dome has basketball nets at the sides of the courts and while they will be angled away from the court as much as possible, they cannot be completely moved out of the way.
Reffing Teams
- Teams must bring their own whistles (one whistle for up ref and one whistle for down ref).
- Reffing teams are expected to start matches on time. If your team wants to debrief after a match, please ensure that at least one player from your team calls captains and starts the warmups for the match.
- At the end of each match:
- Completed scoresheets should be returned to the command centre. Do not bring the clipboard unless it is the last pool play match.
- All scoresheets for Pool Play matches will already be in the clipboard for the respective court.
