Toronto Phoenix Women’s A Team is a go!

Toronto Phoenix would like to thank all the girls who came out to tryout for our team this year!  The turnout was great but unfortunately, we are unable to give everyone a spot on the team.  However, we are entirely confident that our coaches have made the best selections possible based on the current needs of the team as well as our club and we fully support their decisions.

We’d like to congratulate all the girls who were selected for this year’s team!  Practices, starting this week, will be held every Sunday from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at L’amoreaux Community Centre (Kennedy/McNicoll) until otherwise notified.  We are looking forward to what surely will be an enjoyable and successful summer for you girls and we hope that you are all as excited as we are!

For all girls interested in playing for Toronto Phoenix this summer, because of the good turnout we had at our last tryout, we’ve decided to have one last optional tryout before selecting the team.  This will be the final tryout before our coaches announce a team on May 9, 2013.  Details of the final tryout are listed below.

Tryout Information

Location: Westview Centennial Secondary School
755 Oakdale Rd., Toronto, ON. M13N 1W7 (major intersection Finch Ave & Hwy. 400)
Date: May 8,  2013
Time: 7-9pm

Please arrive a little early to help set up and for the coaches to go over any house-keeping items if necessary.

Toronto Phoenix 2013

Toronto Phoenix is gearing up for another summer of volleyball!  This year, Jansen Sullivan will be heading the Men’s program with the help of Anson Wong.  Both have extensive 9man experience that will be invaluable for our club moving forward.

We would also like to announce that Ravuth Kim and Meng To will be taking over the Women’s program as Head Coach and Assistant Coach, respectively.  We wish them the best of luck!
